Awards
SPAE hosts an annual competition for the best Teaching Public Administration Conference paper. Papers are blind reviewed by members of SPAE’s Officers and Executive Board and selected based on quality and importance to public administration education. The winner is awarded a $500 scholarship (on an expense reimbursement basis) to attend the next annual conference of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) and to participate in the annual SPAE meeting. The Section also promotes inclusion of the award-winning paper for presentation at the ASPA conference.
The 2011 Best TPAC Paper Award was given to Robert A. Peters of Western Michigan University for his paper, "Linking Mission, Goals and Objectives to Admissions Criteria, Pedagogy and Course Content"
The next competition will follow the 2012 Teaching Public Administration Conference!
