The Public Manager Publishes Spring Issue

As a benefit of your CPM Section membership, The Public Manager is pleased to present you with an electronic version of its Spring issue. This issue examines the decline of public trust in government and discusses the actions public managers can take to restore faith in public institutions and the people behind them.  As the feature article notes, “The ‘public interest' is a lofty concept, but individual public servants and managers can contribute to this public interest through their day-to-day activities.” But toiling behind the curtain is not enough: citizens now demand to see the hidden levers and buttons.

SCPM Hosts Successful Professional Development and Education Sessions, Looks Ahead to 2010 ASPA Annual Conference

San Jose will host the 2010 ASPA Annual Conference.

SCPM presented four hours of professional development and education sessions on March 21 during the ASPA 2009 Annual Conference.  The Section held its annual business meeting that day, and members already began looking ahead to the 2010 Annual Conference, which will take place next April 10-13 in San Jose.
