John G. Stone served in a variety of senior executive positions with both federal and local governments before his retirement in 1991. Since retirement, Mr. Stone has contributed to a number of associations and organizations. This includes serving as the co-founding the Steering Committee for the Public Service Academy at DC's Anacostia High School, President for Council of Former Federal Executives and on the board for the Coalition for Effective Change. Mr. Stone is a veteran and received his BA from the George Washington University.
