Dr. Montgomery (Monty) Van Wart received his Ph.D. from Arizona State University, his Master's degree from Lewis & Clark, and his Bachelor's degree from Franklin & Marshall College. He has worked in higher education in various capacities for almost 25 years, nearly always with in administrative role.  He has served as the Director of the Center for Public Service at Texas Tech University, the MPA Director at Iowa State University, and the Director of the Advanced Public Executive Program at Arizona State University. As a scholar, Dr. Van Wart has over 35 publications including Changing Public Sector Values. He helped redesign the Code of Ethics for ASPA.
