Prospective Members
Thank you for your interest in the Central Florida Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA). You will receive many benefits as a member of both the national organization and the Central Florida Chapter.
ASPA has been the most respected organization in the public administration field for more than 60 years, with a focus on meeting the personal and professional needs of public employees, nonprofit professionals, students and academics. By becoming an ASPA member, you will receive respected national publications, such as Public Administration Review and PA Times, a monthly newsletter that covers many areas of interest to local administrators: sustainable development, regional cooperation, and budgetary tools, among others.
The Central Florida Chapter hosts monthly meetings on important issues related to this region. In addition, a Public Administration conference is held at the University of Central Florida annually and Chapter meeting is scheduled in May of each year to elect new board members and to review the bylaws. Monthly meeting topics are presented by top practitioners in the field and cover a wide range of timely issues (regional growth and development, funding, transportation, professionalism, etc). Although the Central Florida Chapter has its share of academic members, many of our members are like yourself: practicing public administrators and students of public administration.
In an era of great challenge for those of us in public service, it has become increasingly important for administrators to unite in promoting the positive professional ethics which permeate the public sector. ASPA and the Central Florida Chapter provide an established forum for accomplishing this goal.
To join our Chapter, you will first need to visit ASPA and become a member of the national organization. Membership in the national organization provides you with free membership in the Central Florida Chapter.
